Bridges and Dreams
Sleep comes too late
When words will not come.
I'm stuck on a track
My mind longs to jump.
Bridges and dreams,
My home and a song...
So many links
To a time that is lost.
There are moments I laugh
And mornings I cry.
Is the joy just deception?
Or salvation from grief.
"This, too, soon shall pass,"
Wiser men say.
But my heart doesn't buy it.
I feel trapped in the pain.
But the goodness of grace,
Comes in truth despite doubt.
Life carries on...
Moon still beckons Sun.
One foot, then the other...
A breath, then one more.
This is all I'm required
I will carry on.
